Buckwood is an older community in downtown Conway, just off Hwy 501 and Forestview Rd. The homes are mostly from the 60's and 70's, but well-built and maintained. The subdivision is popular because it's right in the middle of everything Conway offers, from restaurants to downtown stores, and even a live theatre. The Riverwalk is close by, as are the county buildings, courthouse, and library.
The homes in Buckwood come in all shapes and sizes, although most are ranch-style, which was popular when it was developed. Prices are all over the spectrum. You may find a beautiful 3 bedroom brick house with the original paneled walls for $100,000, yet there are large homes from the early 2000's and updated homes with private pools over $500,000, as well. Most are brick, 3-4 bedrooms, have large landscaped lots, and homey backyards with mature trees. Children attend Conway Elementary, Middle, and High School.
