Castlewood is a nice subdivision that is located near Carolina Forest, in between Hwy 501 and 544. Location-wise, it's about as close to the beach as you can get and still be outside the borders. It's also just down the street from Coastal Carolina, the Conway Hospital, and all the businesses and restaurants in Carolina Forest.
Homes in Castlewood were built around the years 2000 - 2005, with very large lots and a feel of being in the country. There's no HOA fee, and consequently no community amenities, other than a beautiful lake in the center of the subdivision. With the large lot sizes, many of the homes have private pools, or it's easy to add your own.
The homes are mostly ranch-style, with vinyl siding and brick or stone trim. They are not cookie-cutter homes, coming in three or four bedrooms with garages and many extras. Some have Florida rooms, backyard entertainment areas, or back up to wooded areas. Prices run from as low as $115,000 for the smallest ones to just over $200,000 for the newer, larger homes. Families will be pleased to know that teens will attend the much desired Carolina Forest High School, one of the best in the state.
If you're looking for a beautiful country home that only 12 miles from the beach, Castlewood might be perfect for you. Call us to look at the homes for sale or to tour the community.
