The community of Conway Country Club has long been a popular place to live, as it surrounded the Conway Golf Club and provided homes with great scenery and convenient golfing. As of 2018, however, the golf course has been sold and is contracted with Beverly Homes to build a new home community of single-family houses - around 200 of them, in fact.
Needless to say, the homeowners in Conway CC are not happy with this turn of events, and at this time it is unknown how this will affect the community. If you decide that you're interested in buying a home here, you should just understand that the golf course will no longer be operating. We don't know at this time if they will rebuild the pool and tennis courts.
The existing homes range in age from being built in the 90's to very recently. Most are custom-built and usually up-scale, with large wooded and grassy lots and yards. There's much pride of ownership in Conway Country Club. You'll find one and two-story homes of every style, ranging in price from the low $200,000's to around $300,000. Utilities are underground, and there is no HOA fee.
This Conway community is so large that different school systems service it. The Conway schools service the part of Country Club Rd closest to the city, and the other end will have children attending Homewood, Whittemore Park, and Conway High School.
There will probably be some good bargains now with the homes in Conway Country Club. If you aren't concerned with the golf course, this might be the perfect home for you. The new homes will probably be built in 2019. Beverly Homes has developed in Tiger Grand and Baron's Bluff if you'd like to see their work. Call us for updates on the community or a tour of the homes for sale here.
