Hampton Place is a new subdivision being built off Highway 378 (or Johnson Shortcut Rd) with entrances at Bancroft and Oakham Streets. It's about 10 minutes from downtown Conway and outside the city limits, which means lower taxes. Development started in 2016 and continues in 2017 with many homes to choose from.
The homes in Hampton Place are 3 and 4 bedrooms, with two-car garages and so many upgrades - both standard and optional. There are 8-10 models to choose from, ranging from 1400 to 1800 sq ft. Prices range from around $160,000 to just under $200,000, with such upgrades as vaulted ceilings, granite countertops, ceramic tile in kitchen/bath/laundry, stainless steel appliances, energy-efficient doors and windows, and landscaped yards.
Children attend Pee Dee Elementary, Whittemore Park Middle School, and Conway High School. HOA fees are under $20 a month and cover street lighting and maintenance. Boating enthusiasts will appreciate the Little Pee Dee River just down the street, with access from Pitts Landing.
If you're looking to build a new home that's close to everything in Conway but off the main drag, you should take a look at Hampton Place. It's also convenient to Highway 501 which means only a few minutes to the beaches.
